1. Sunday, Prayer Time at 10:30, Worship Service at 11:00, then (during Coffee Time) a celebration of Charlette's graduation!
The Your Story topic is: Tell about a time when you tried the patience of someone who always accepts you. Who was that person? What was that person’s response? How did you feel about the situation?
2. Also on Sunday, at 2:00, will be the memorial service for Elliott Walters. It will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 2340 N 155th St, Shoreline, WA 98133.
3. There has been an underwhelming response to my bright idea of watching 4th of July fireworks from the Fellowship Hall, so we won't be doing that.
4. Our first-ever Book Fair will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 10 am - 2 pm, in our parking lot. Books will be collected from July 6 through July 9; you can bring yours to the Fellowship Hall during those days. Please see Candy to volunteer your help!
5. There will be a Movie Night, but we will not have confirmation of the date and the movie until Sunday.
6. We have a special request from Aimee Keith (Carl & Marilyn's daughter) who is working on her PhD dissertation and would appreciate opportunities to interview people who have had a particular experience. She describes that as “People over the age of 18 who experienced a significant traumatic event and identified as Christian at the time the event happened. In addition, I am looking for people who struggled with their faith/spirituality afterwards, but now feel that they have resolved their spiritual struggles.” If anyone would like to participate themselves, knows someone who might or wants more information can e-mail her at akresearchinfo@antioch.edu with their name, phone number, and a good time to reach them for a five minute phone-screening. In person interviews will be scheduled and should last up to 45 minutes. All information will be confidential. Also, you can see the attached flier for more information. Please note that she will only be collecting data through July 17, so if someone wants to participate, they should contact her (at akresearchinfo@antioch.edu) as soon as possible.
