FRIDAY NOTES for the Week of MAY 3, 2015

Here's what's happening for the week of MAY 3, 2015:

The Your Story question is: Tell about a time when you were surprised by what you accomplished. Maybe you passed a course, got a date/made a friend with someone you thought was out of your league or patiently endured a difficult time.

Prayer Time at 10:30, Sermon Discussion at 12:20.

1. This Sunday is Communion Sunday - and a good time to remember to bring a small sack of items for the Food Bank barrel.

2. Next Sunday is Mother's Day and the men will be preparing and serving breakfast before the worship service, between 9:30 and 10:00. This is always a wonderful time - a delicious tradition!

3. Thanks to all of you who signed up to host Coffee Time - the month of May is covered! Please take a look at the sign-up sheet in the fellowship Hall and see if there is a date that you can claim for the following months.

4. Looking way ahead to the 24th: That is Pentecost Sunday - and continuing tradition, we are asking each of you to wear something - a shirt, blouse, etc. - in red, orange or yellow. These colors represent the fire-like descent of the Holy Spirit on the people who were gathered to hear the Disciples tell about Jesus.

Please take a look at your Wedgletter and Calendar for an overview of all events.
